Translocations in the Wick

Indian Rubber Works to Olympic Energy Centre: 1932-2012

This work forms part of a research project exploring processes of change in the Lea Valley.

It presents Hackney Wick’s erased, existing and emerging manifestations, including Ingram’s Indian Rubber Works, housing terraces, bomb damaged streets, the Trowbridge Estate, warehouses and workshops, the Lea Navigation, Arena Fields, Clarnico Works and the new Energy Centre. This sequential representation is juxtaposed against the emergence of the park, the Broadcast and Press Centre, the Copper Box and the Athletes Village.
