Shadow Play

Site specific commission for Altered, Contemporary Art in Ancient Churches, at St Andrew's, Leasingham in Lincolnshire. On display 3rd-5th May 2014.

Shadow Play explores the past, present and future of St Andrew's and its surrounding parish. The work incorporates drawing, intaglio printmaking, objects, projection, photography and moving image.

The installation consists of various interventions engaging with the fabric and fittings of the church. Moving image is projected into the nave, chancel and ringing chamber, whilst prints on paper, wood, veneer, plaster and wax are found in various forms across the church.

The commission also comprised of a series of workshops, including sessions with artists, a primary and secondary school, and a drop in session at St Andrew's.
